Robert Berry, Fort Worth, TX

Robert mostly paints using acrylic on canvas. He likes bright and bold colors with heavy texture to enhance the colors. Recently, he has incorporated Cerne Relief Outliner paint in his paintings to give them an added dimension of texture. His designs are always his vision and his vision only. He believes that the composition of a painting is just as important as the color.

“In the quest for individuality, art is the highest expression of ‘Human Victory’. In the final analysis, it does not matter how the world perceives your art, it only matters how your art perceives the world.” - Robert L. Berry

Carlos Mosely, Fredericksburg, TX

Carlos was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, and currently makes the Texas Hill Country his home.

He has a great passion creating his artwork out of natural river rock and driftwood. Close examination of his work reveals many of the rocks have been worked by other hands long ago.  Broken arrowheads, scrapers, and other pieces of worked flint and Native American artifacts as well as natural fossils make up many of the creative pieces.

As a young boy he would collect rocks not knowing that someday he would start a new art form.  The process of his work begins with many long hours spent along river beds collecting various rocks.  Flint, limestone and shale are the primary components that create sculptures and scenes, which are mounted on to quarried sandstone or into shadow boxes which can be used for wall hanging or tabletop pieces.

Ron Hollister, Benbrook, TX

Ron was as a senior manager and consultant for a large computer services company. His general approach to making pottery is to identify a central theme, employ multiple techniques to express different interpretations, and along the way embrace the mistakes you make; they lead to greater understanding and offer new opportunities.

His work has evolved around three central themes; functional tableware, southwest and Asian pieces. In general, each piece is made with at least two glazes creating multiple color possibilities. He also make his own glazes, which is very time consuming, but it opens up a whole realm of addition possibilities for affecting the look of the finished work.
